A Message from the Principal
I am honored to introduce myself as the principal of Dr. David R. Williams Public School in the Halton District School Board.
I have been an administrator in Ontario for 20 years and have leadership experience working in two different school boards. I have been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to embark on the project of opening a brand new school in the growing Halton District School Board.
With the careful coordination and ongoing involvement of our board Capital Projects team, Facilities Department, Business Services, School Programs Department, Information Services, and Senior Team - the construction process and set-up for Dr. David R. Williams P.S. was complete in August of 2020 and we opened our doors to students in September 2020.
Through a very challenging time, we successfully welcomed a thriving student population of now over 1200 students. Our students integrated from a number of different feeder schools and have come together, both in-person and online, to form our new school community.
We have a dynamic group of educators and support staff who have embraced the opportunity to be a part of something new. Although we were faced with the difficult task of sustaining teaching and learning during a global pandemic, our team at Dr. David R. Williams P.S. has been committed to providing a highly engaging learning experience while ensuring the health and safety of everyone in our school community.
We are proud of the successful transition of all our students during these first few years of operation and look forward to many exciting years ahead as we make history together at Dr. David R. Williams P.S.
